RESTORATION,
RENEWAL
&
REMAKING
✤
Jewellery carries history.
Through careful hand engraving, restoration and renewal, worn pieces can often be given new life while preserving the character that makes them meaningful.
Every project begins with an assessment to determine the most appropriate approach.
Restore
Restore worn engraving, revive ornamental detail, and faithfully match existing hand engraving where possible.
—❦—
Re-engrave
Refresh inscriptions, monograms and decorative engraving that have softened through years of wear.
—❦—
Renew
Some projects require more than engraving alone. Where appropriate, I can coordinate repair, restoration, stone replacement, and valuations.
Each stage is approached with care and respect for the original piece.
—❦—
Remake
Use suitable old or inherited precious metal to create a new piece.

Where a project requires stone replacement or other specialist work, I can coordinate the necessary restoration before the engraving is completed.
-
Where possible, I carefully study the existing engraving so new work sits naturally alongside the old. Every project is different, and preserving authenticity is always the priority.
-
Yes. Occasionally the kindest decision is to preserve a piece exactly as it is. If I believe restoration would compromise the character or integrity of an item, I'll tell you.
