WEDDING
BANDS
✤
A wedding band can be chosen for more than its beauty.
A pattern, symbol or inscription can carry something particular to the two of you — a place, an idea, words, or simply a meaning you want to keep.
Whether you already have your bands or are beginning something new, each piece is individually hand engraved in my Adelaide workshop.
Traditional hand engraving allows every mark to be cut individually, creating a surface that catches the light in a way no machine engraving can replicate.
Made to be worn every day, and to gather meaning with time.

The Wedding Band Collection
Begin with a pattern, then make it your own.

Each can be adapted to the width, metal and proportions of your band, with stones, borders or an inside inscription offered as part of the finished piece.
How a Band
Can Be Composed
I think about engraving across a band in different ways — through pattern, across a field, or within partitions.
These describe the structure of the engraving rather than its subject.
❦PATTERN
A design carried through repetition and rhythm. Motifs repeat or flow around the band, whether continuously or across part of its surface. Traditional patterns such as vine, wheat, leaf and scroll sit here, alongside patterns developed in the workshop.
❦FIELD
The surface treated as one continuous space. Rather than following a regular repeat, the engraving moves freely across the band. Forms can change in scale, density and direction, with areas of detail giving way to quieter metal.
❦PARTITION
The surface divided into distinct spaces. Lines and boundaries create compartments for imagery, ornament, lettering or untouched metal. Panels can vary in size and purpose, allowing several elements to belong to one composition.
Bringing it Together
—❦—
You don't need to arrive with a finished design.
A band might begin with a pattern you have seen here, a symbol, a few words, a stone, a place, or something entirely your own.
I can help you work out which elements belong together — and which don't — then develop the engraving as a whole, from the pattern on the surface to the smallest detail or inscription carried inside.
Designed together.
Cut by hand.
Made to remain.
